- Turn off the stove: Before you start cleaning, make sure the stove is turned off and has cooled down.
- Remove the grates: Take off the grates that are sitting on top of the stove. They should lift up easily.
- Remove the knobs: Unscrew the knobs that control the burners. They may have screws on the back or bottom. Place them in a safe place.
- Locate the screws: Look for screws along the front, back, and sides of the stove top. These screws will be holding the stove top in place.
- Remove the screws: Using a screwdriver, remove the screws that are holding the stove top in place. Keep the screws in a safe place.
- Lift the stove top: Once all the screws have been removed, gently lift the stove top up. You may need to wiggle it back and forth a bit to loosen it from the stove body.
- Clean the area: Now that you have lifted the stove top, you can clean the area underneath it. Use a damp cloth to wipe up any debris or food that has fallen under the knobs.
- Reassemble the stove: Once you have cleaned the area, put the stove top back in place. Replace the screws and tighten them. Reattach the knobs and grates.
Note: The exact process may vary slightly depending on the specific model of your Kenmore Elite Dual Fuel stove. If you're unsure of the steps, it's best to consult the owner's manual or contact Kenmore customer service for assistance.

- Turn off the stove: Make sure the stove is turned off and the burners have cooled completely before proceeding.
- Locate the hinges: The hinges are typically located at the front of the stove top, near the knobs.
- Release the hinges: Look for a lever or latch near the hinges that will release the stove top. Push the lever or latch down to unlock the stove top.
- Lift the stove top: Once the stove top is unlocked, gently lift it up until it comes free from the hinges. Be sure to support the weight of the stove top as you lift it.
- Clean under the knobs: With the stove top lifted, you'll be able to see and access the area under the knobs. Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean up any food debris that has fallen under the knobs.
- Reinstall the stove top: Once you've finished cleaning, lower the stove top back into place and make sure the hinges lock securely.
