What Does Kenmore Dehumidifier Error Code 88 Mean? It Is A 50 Pint And Brand New

it does not work at all. It beeps, all the display lilghts flash on and off, the display box shows "88". I've plugged it into different outlets. Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?
