Control Panel Issues On Model 54501 Dehumidifier
The control panel on Model 54540 dehumidifier is not working. I can press on/off okay and high/low okay, but no other buttons are working.

You need to replace the control board. Unfortunately, your question lists two different model numbers, so I can't point you to a source. Your best bet is http://www.searspartsdirect.com/. Otherwise, follow the applicable suggestions at this previous answer.
