Suction Not Working On Floor Function

Hello,  I have used my Kenmore 4 times to vacuum both our floor and carpet. I just tried switching from carpet mode to floor mode, and all of a sudden, there is no suction from the vacuum on floor mode. The engine is still running, just not sucking up any dust. The vacuum does however, still work in rug mode. Any suggestions?
