Warranty On Recall

Hi, my name is Joanna Nazimek, my parents car a 2002 Jeep Liberty broke down yesterday because the lower ball joint and suspension collapsed out of no- where. I'm stuck without a car right now, and major damage costs to the vehicle. insurance doesn't cover anything like manufactorer malfunctions or anything like that, but i understand that Jeep can cover the cost of the ball joint.
