Why Does It Drop Or Lose Pressure Slowly With Or Without Pressure On It ?

after pumping up the hydraulic lift, it seems to lose pressure and drop slowly with or without pressure on lift, wonder if there is air in system or needs fluid, it also sqeaks when pumping it up. can it be oiled with anything?
