Annoying 'cracking' Sound

I own a 2009 Hyundai Elantra SE-- purchased new. When I drive over certain bumps in the road surface, I hear a sharp "cracking" sound that sounds as if the rear window is cracking. I have taken everything out of the trunk so it is not anything that I had in the trunk. It does not occur all the time so it is difficult to have a service tech hear the sound. Do you have any suggestions? Have you heard of this happening to anyone else?

This happened to me once in a car I bought new. It was a rattling sound, turns out there was a coke can behind one of the door panels evidently left by an employee at time of manufacture. The only way to find something like this is to keep listening and looking. It took me almost a year to pinpoint mine.
