Changing Back Struts

I am needing to change the back struts for my 2002 Hundai xg350. Are there any specific tools that I need? And is it very hard? I'm experienced in working on vehicles, but, honestly, this is new area for me. Is it recomended to change the springs also, I am not having any luck finding these, the auto shop said they are not available.
