My Thermostat Makes A Clicking Sound

my thermostat makes a clicking sound before she turns on the furnace. The sound can last for 2 to 3 minutes. heat comes out. is this normal

The click is the control relay contacts closing which is normal. Clicking for 2 -3 minutes isn't. Without the model I can't tell you exactly what's causing this issue. It may be time to call a tech or replace it.
