How Do I Stop Someone Else Sending E Mails From My Email Address

contacts are receiving e mails from my email address which i have not sent, possibly spam or phising scams. How do I stop this from happening

A good first step would be to change your password. If this doesn't solve the problem then it must be an issue with your computer. Use a virus scanner such as AVG and an anti adware/spyware program such as SuperAntiSpyware to scan for and remove any infections.
