If I Signup To Hotmail Is It Free

In the user agreement it sounds like there are different charges within live essentials and all I want to use is the hotmail service. Please could you let me know. I don't want to pay for any service. Thanks

I use a hotmail account and its free, they will not charge you unless you provide a credit card number or something like that. There might be extra services that they sell, but for regular email its free.
