Mount and wire the thermostat. Pull the wires through the hole in the wall and connect them to the screw terminals. Honeywell thermostats use the universally recognized abbreviations for system wiring. For example, the wire connected to the terminal block marked “Y2” should come from the second stage compressor. “Y” is for Compressor relay; “G” for fan relay; “RH” for heating power and so on. Check the user guide for the full list. Mount the thermostat, using screws, a screwdriver and plugs. Drill a pilot hole or plug hole as necessary.
Customize the thermostat. Press the Down Arrow button and select “Installer Options” Enter the security code printed on the packaging—it’s the date code. Follow the prompts to configure the system settings. Press “Installer Test” when you’ve configured the system.
