Is Gears Wear&tear Usual With Honda City At 35000 Km?

I am a Honda city Owner. I raised a complaint stating that 5th gear slips to neutral at 35000 Km when the car was well covered under warrenty on 3-Dec-2010. The complaint was not attented. Moreover, gear-box oil was never changed till now, which is scheduled to be changed at 60,000km Paid Service. My car is now at 98000 km and I could not drive the car at 5th gear, as it immediately slips to neutral. Now, Honda dealer has replaced the gears and Honda Manufacturer says wearing of gears is usual with Honda and that the Wear&Tear does not come under warrenty. I haved owned other cars before buying Honda City - Ford, Scoda, Chev. and a local Tata Indica. I have a car license and love to drive cars and keep them single handed. I have never heard of such thing. I love Honda and I have taken care of her as my baby. Such thing has never happened with other cars and I have never heard of gear Wear&Tear and replacement of gears box. I am shocked to find that gears can wear at 35,000 km with Honda City.
