2010 Honda Insight Died For No Reason Wont Stay Started

my daughters 2010 honda insight hybrid died. Interior lights and phone car charger worked about 20 to 30 minutes then died as well. Charged battery at autozone and would start about 3 seconds or so then die. Interior lights also were working after battery charge. Do these types of cars have alternators like all gas cars or auto kill switches when its went through standing water?
