Pico Fuse On Ultravision

i replaced pico fuse since e994 was not on.Will replacing blue cap ceramic part c707 be the next thing to try? it wont come on and e994 does not light up when turn on error detector engages .red light blinks . The new picoi replaced went out after i restarted. Any info is appreciated

Oh yea, I have seen sometimes the electrolytic capacitor short causing the open fuse. Good job fixing it.

Without the model number I can only generalize about why this fuse blows. It feeds the voltage to both the horizontal deflection and the high voltage section. With a meter you can determine which of the outputs are shorted. Then the tricky part is to determine what failed to make this circuit to short out (causing the fuse to open) Many times if the high voltage section is shorted, one of the CRTs or fly back transformer caused it. If the horizontal deflection output transistor is shorted then it could be one of the yokes, capacitors, diode or pin-cushion circuit.

Essentially, you should have a technician help to diagnose. expect the labor to be around $250 (in shop cost) plus parts
