Projector Is Showing A Blue Haze

I have a Hitachi CP-X444 and there is a blue color on the background even with no image being provided to the projector. Is this easy to fix or is it time to replace the projector? See attached image.

Your polarizers are likely shot. Dust on them can cause this. Otherwise it could be the LCD panel. In either case, it's generally cheaper to replace the projector than to have it repaired.

I would think that could well be an issue with the projector. Not having put them into my experience. Just from my normal TV knowledge. I would think that if the colours are generated separately then the blue is obviously the issue. Spares are available but the advice of an engineer would be an advantage rather than replace the complete unit. It may only be a an adjustment needed.
