Hi. You will have to replace a part most likely if you are unable to make copies by simpy following instructions here http://www.helpowl.com/manuals/HP/Deskjet1050/66774 as copies depends on the firmware and hardware and does not involve the use of software. The firmware on the other hand may be the one corrupted and may have to be reflashed.
