Problems With My Onyx 3

i just recieved my new onyx 3 yesterday i paired it up to my phone , no problem.i tryed to play music, no sound .i could not figure it out .so i unpluged the charger and the music started playing .so it wont play music while it is plugged in...why.am i doing something wrong.please help me.
