- Check the power switch: Make sure the power switch on the saw is turned on. Sometimes, the switch can get stuck or become faulty, preventing the saw from turning on.
- Check the blade guard: Ensure that the blade guard is properly engaged. The saw will not turn on if the guard is not in place or is not properly engaged.
- Check the power cord: Make sure the power cord is not damaged or frayed. If it is, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Check the blade: If the blade is damaged or dull, the saw may not turn on. Inspect the blade and replace it if necessary.
- Check the motor brushes: If the motor brushes are worn out, the saw may not turn on. Remove the motor brushes and inspect them for wear. If they are worn down, they will need to be replaced.
- Check the circuit breaker: If the saw is not turning on, it may have tripped the circuit breaker. Check the circuit breaker box and reset the breaker if necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Harbor Freight customer support or a professional power tool repair technician for further assistance.
