Haier Hr30a1var Fan Outside Is Not Turning And Blowing Hot Air Inside

First, replace the capacitor on the outside unit. It should be in the arear by the contactor where the power leads go into the outside unit. They go bad frequently. After that, see if your fan actually spins freely with the power off...could be a bad bearing, dry bearing needing grease / lube. maybe the motor is frozen and won't turn. If so, replace it. The contactor and the motor are available from any appliance parts wholesaler, or an A/C parts warehouse like Johnstone Supply...look in phone book. If your unit is more than 4 years old, buy a new contactor and replace that too. The points are probably pitted / burned, and may cause problems very soon, like intermitten starting, chattering noise, or a no start condition. These are the most common problems I encounter everyday that is an easy fix by the homeowner that has a small amount of skill, and can save a $150 to $230 service call for a $20 part ( motor is around $75 if needing replacing)  REMEMBER TO SHUT OFF POWER WHEN CHANGING OR CHAEKING PARTS !!!!!     Yawwee
