I'm sorry to hear that the replacement of the IDL ER assembly did not resolve the loud noise issue with your Haier HLP140E dryer. Noises in appliances can be caused by various factors, but let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can identify and fix the problem:

1. Verify proper installation: Double-check that the IDL ER assembly was installed correctly and securely. Make sure all screws and connections are tight.

2. Inspect the drum and belt: Remove the dryer's front or rear panel (depending on the model) to access the drum and belt. Inspect the drum for any signs of damage or excessive wear. Check the belt for proper tension and signs of wear or fraying. Replace any damaged parts if necessary.

3. Check the motor: The loud noise could be coming from a faulty motor. Inspect the motor for any visible signs of damage or debris. Spin the motor manually to check for any resistance or unusual sounds. If there are any issues, it may require professional attention or motor replacement.

4. Examine the blower wheel: The blower wheel helps circulate air within the dryer. If it becomes loose, damaged, or clogged, it can create loud noises. Inspect the blower wheel for any debris or obstructions and ensure it's securely attached. Clean it if necessary.

5. Lubricate moving parts (if applicable): Some dryers have moving parts that may require lubrication. Consult your dryer's manual to locate any moving parts that need lubrication and follow the manufacturer's instruction

If you have tried these troubleshooting steps and the loud noise persists, it might be best to consult and take the dryer to a professional technician or contact Haier customer support for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and provide more specific guidance based on their expertise with the Haier HLP140E dryer model.

Here are some things you can check if your Haier HLP140E portable dryer is still making loud noises after replacing the IDL ER assembly:

Make sure that the IDL ER assembly is installed correctly. If the assembly is not installed correctly, it can cause the dryer to make a loud noise.

Check the dryer vent. If the dryer vent is clogged or restricted, it can cause the dryer to overheat and make a loud noise.

Check the dryer drum rollers. If the dryer drum rollers are worn or damaged, they can cause the dryer to make a loud noise.

Check the dryer belt. If the dryer belt is worn or damaged, it can cause the dryer to make a loud noise.

Check the dryer motor. If the dryer motor is worn or damaged, it can cause the dryer to make a loud noise.

If you have checked all of the above and the dryer is still making a loud noise, you may need to contact a qualified appliance repair technician for further assistance.

Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting a noisy dryer:

Listen to the noise to try to identify where it is coming from. This can help you to narrow down the possible causes of the problem.

Check the dryer for any loose parts. Loose parts can rattle and make noise when the dryer is running.

Clean the dryer lint trap. A clogged lint trap can cause the dryer to overheat and make a loud noise.

Vacuum the dryer vent. A clogged dryer vent can cause the dryer to overheat and make a loud noise.

Level the dryer. An unlevel dryer can vibrate and make noise.

If you are unable to troubleshoot the problem yourself, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician for further assistance.
