Water Not Heating
Hi my haier hdw100wht is ot heating the water through the cycles, the filters are clean. Presumably the heating element needs replacig. Is this a costly repair, if it is I would rather purchase a new dushwasher. What is the year of Mnaufacter for this dishwasher. Thanks Catherine (Australia)

Hi, I've had the same problem and found that it seemed to be caused by a stuck thermal switch. Try the following and see if it helps. (As long as you're comfortable opening it up and poking around inside the guts.)
Remove the screws at the lower back of the two side panels. The panels can then be pulled sideways enough to allow you to remove the bottom cross-panel at the back (need to take screws out of that too). If you look inside, you'll see on the left (facing the back of the machine) is a stud with wires going to two terminals on the bottom. It goes up through the bottom of the tray, you can see the top of it on the inside back right in between the two rails of the heater element.
I found when I checked the terminals with a multimeter that they had an open circuit. There was a little button thing on the bottom of the sensor, between the two terminals; when I pushed that it seemed to reset the switch; it went to closed circuit and the water started heating again.
If yours isn't open circuit, (or you don't have a multimeter but pushing the button doesn't fix it), it might still be a heating element problem.
