I Have A Haier Cwh18a With Heat, The Ac Works Good On All Fan Speeds Except High

when I turn the unit on with fan speed on high the fan will come on for a few seconds then go off. As I said all other fan speeds work fine and the high works for a few seconds with no odd smells or noises. I am not concerned with the A/C settings because I live in Florida so I run it on Med. because of the humidity, but if the fan is not blowing across the heating element it will burn out so I would like to know if there are some things I could check to correct this problem?

A clean filter helps remove dust, lint, and other particles from the air and is important for best cooling and operating ef ficiency. Check the filter every 2 weeks to see whether it needs cleaning. See cleaning procedure here.
