Unit Not Cooling Effectively. Can Hear Compressor Kick Off
The unit is not cooling effectively. this has happend within the past couple months. the controls are set correctly (on cool, high fan, etc) air comming out of unit is cool for the most part. when unit first starts up, it seems to pump out cold air, then you can hear the chanage, proboboy compressor kicking off and air just stays cool.
The unit has worked effectively in the space up until now.
Is there a way to identify the problem? electronic vs compressor system? Is it user repairable?
Warranty is a year, 5 year on parts only for compressor. I purhcased 2 years ago so its basically out of warranty. Im was thinking of trying to givei it a charge of freon and see what happens.
any thooughts?
