Htc Rhyme Hotspot Info

I have an HTC Rhyme and I recently got a tablet. I found a mobile hotspot on my phone and i was wondering how much a month it would be to connect my tablet to the hotspot on my rhyme. Also does it affect the battery life? Will the bill charge me only when i use the hotspot? Will i get a certain amount of time i can use for the hotspot according to the bill? Please write back soon.

WIFI hotspot (also known as WIFI tethering) on a Android device means that it will share internet conection from your cellular network over WIFI. When you connect your tablet to this hotspot, it will use your phone to access internet.

Turning on hotspot itself does not consumes any data, no charge, but only till you start using internet on your tablet.

Lets say your network operator charge you 1 dolar for 10 MB data. If you use 10 MB on your phone and then 20 MB on your tablet over this hotspot, he will charge you with 3 dolars.

And yes, it will affect battery life. Phone have to use cellular network and WIFI at same time. I think it will drain battery in few hours.
