Not at all! They are completely seperate browsers. One thing to note though, you may want to transfer your favorites/bookmarks from IE to Chrome first if you want. To do this go into the settings options in Chrome and click "Import bookmarks". Great choice of a browser BTW! It's my favorite:)

Spaceman is right in that they are entirely separate and independently functional. Please note however that there is technically no removing IE from your machine - it relies on explore.exe for functionality and IE is just ported over to iexplore.exe - even if it is removed, go to your file window and hit the location buttow with a URL - you'll see what I'm talking about.
