Our Site Has Vanished From Google!
For many years now our site, www.discountgolfshoes.com, has been on page 1 in Google when searching the term "golf shoes". Now, suddenly, we're nowhere to be found (I looked through the first 25 pages!) How do I find out what happened? How do I fix it? Thanks.

There are a number of reasons a site could get dropped or fall dramatically on Google. Sometimes it is an easy answer like a site starting to show something adult-oriented, profane, etc. Other things could include Google changing it's indexing algorithm (which it actually does quite often), a change with the content on your site, or any other number of things. Sometimes the change/removal is only temporary and things return to normal after a few days, and other times the change is permanent. Based on your situation, where your site has been ranked highly for years, hopefully it is a case of a temporary situation and your rankings reappear shortly.
Sorry I couldn't give a better answer, but there really is no one answer to your question. I would recommend Googling for more information, but be careful not to believe everything you read. There is a lot of information online concerning why pages/sites are dropped on Google so use your own best judgement and common sense concerning what you want to believe:
