type in the account password in the box

click "Delete Google Account" button

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters 1. Go here: https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DeleteAc… and login with the account you want to delete. 2. Check all of the checkboxes. 3. Type in the account password in the "Current password:" box. 4. Click the "Delete Google Account" button.

You cannot actually cancel your Google account because there might be still incoming mails to your gmail. However, the best thing you need to do is to contact google or gmail and request them to deactivate your account. If you are dealing with serious privacy issues, just change your account password to a stronger one.
