Why Is It That Your Gift Cards Can't Be Used Everywhere??

Do you know how embarrassing this is for both parties of your gift cards? The purchaser and the receiver. The purchaser doesn't know it can't be used out of city or state and then the receiver gets embarrassed at the register because that card can't be used. Walmart, etc can be used all over the world per say. Now if you all just have to do it this way. Why don't you at least warn the purchaser of your non use policy. Why is it like this???

It is very unfortunate when a customer has not been made aware of this and has to endure the embarrassment you mentioned. It would be immensely helpful to have it printed on each region's receipts as well as training the staff to inform customers of this. Goodwill's are in different regions, each one having their own pricing & policies while still fully supporting the mission. Each regions Board of Directors, President & CEO and some of the corporate officers are involved in making those types of decisions. This is a question best answered by the corporate office for your region.
