Electrical Installation For Garbage Disposal

This will be a direct source instal.  I have a blue and a brown wire for the disposal.  Which is hot?

Brown is hot (corresponding to black); blue is neutral (corresponding to white) according to the 1-800 - 626-2000 ge answer center.

My Guess is the blue wire but the only way to be sure is to test voltage on the wire with a volt meter.
