Anode Replacement

Just purchased new GE SE50T12TAH hot water tank and need to replace existing anode with an aluminum one to get rid of sulfur smell.  The hex head bolt on top is very secure and have even tried an impact wrench on it.  Any ideas on how to loosen this to remove the anode rod?
