Stainless Appearance Knobs

I am concerned about reviews of this product that mention melting, cracking knobs caused by heat.  Is this a problem?

Yes, ths is a problem. I now have to replace all the knobs on the range. They've upgraded the knobs to stainless steel from plastic, but I don't know if the new models come with the new knobs or not. The issue for me is that now I have to shell out $64 PER KNOB to replace them (that's almost $400 dollars total after tax and shipping) and I have to do it because they're dangerous. Make sure yours will come with the stainless knobs
