Lid Lock Problem (ge Washer/dryer Gtup270gmww)

Our washer has run, but will not release the lid lock. We've had a wet load of laundry in for over a day. Nothing seems to work. Nob has been turned to off position with no response. Unit was unplugged and still locked. Please help....our washer is holding our clothes hostage.
