Alarm, Light Door Trouble??
door alarm keeps going off & light is on under doors. makes some weird latching noise sound and when I look up water dispenser it opens and closes with the latching sound??? i push freezer shut and light will go off but not for long. HELP! brand new just plugged in

If it's brand new it's covered by the manufacturer's warranty and almost certainly also by the retailer's return policy. I would phone the retailer for repair or replacement. If that doesn't solve you can reach GE at 800-626-2005.

so I was able to figure this one out myself all you need to do is loosen the 3 screws on the right and the 3 screws on the left of the bottom part of the freezer drawer then there is a small set screw on each side of the bottom freezer door all you have to do is turn each set screw no more than one full turn.. turn clockwise if you think the gap is at the top of the freezer door or counterclockwise if you think it's at the bottom mine was at the top so I turned it clockwise it took longer to find the correct socket yhen it did to fix the problem easy fix worked immediately
