Dishwasher Door Doesn't Stayed Latched.

The door on our dishwasher doesn't seemed to stay latched correctly. It also seems to lift up easily when in upright position. When we close the door, you have to lift up to have it catch on the door latch. It now seems to settle back down and just enough out of the latch so that the dishwasher won't start. Any suggestions as to how to tighten/secure the door so that it stays at the right level so that the dishwasher will run?

the door will NOT latch closed if you removed the utensil baskets and did not reinstall them correctly. They look and feel like they are hanging correctly, but if one of the tabs is outside it's pocket on the rack, the door won't latch. It's only about an 1/8th of an inch, but that is enough to throw off the automatic latch. So if there is no object lying in the bottom hinge area and it was working normally before, check both baskets and make sure the racks are as far back into the dishwasher as they should be.
