Did you ever get an answer? Garmin told me they no longer have parts to repair this series. Are they available elsewhere?

If the touch screen works but not correctly try recalibrating it. On the menu page touch the wrench icon, then Settings>Display and Recalibrate. Follow the instructions.

If you cannot recalibrate the screen the unit will need to be serviced. Contact Garmin Service directly at this link: http://www8.garmin.com/support/warranty.html
