Unit Suddenly Went Blank And Unresponsive
I have owned a nuvi 2595 (purchased at Best Buy) for approximately 3 months and it has performed wonderfully. I utilize it often as I am a delivery driver by profession. However, this evening the unit went completely blank, with the display going black. I unplugged and replugged the power, pressed the power button, held down the power button, and took it to my computer and hooked it up via the USB connector. It responds to nothing, it seems to simply have died! In the three months I've had it nothing has happened to it. (It's never being dropped, hit, or gotten wet etc). It is imperative I get the unit (or a replacement) up and running again as I rely on it for my livelihood. Your initiative and support in this case is greatly appreciated.

I have also had the same issue. This worked for me. Connect the Garmin to your computer or power supply. Press and hold the bottom right corner of the screen and press and hold down the power button. this is the prompt to be able to reset the Garmin. After 10-15 seconds the screen should come on with the start up screen. If you release your finger from the screen the Garmin shouldn't enter the reset menu. However if it does, just select cancel when the option to confirm reset to cancel the reset.
