Oil Burning

2008 GMC Camyon occassionally smokes upon srarting any help?? Has 34,000 miles on it.

depends on color of smoke... blue is oil(usually piston rings), black is fuel(fuel filter or o2 sensor), white is antifreeze... (headgasket)
