Replaced Battery On My 2005 Gmc Canyon

my remote to unlock the door does not work

If the technician did not use a computer power saver device, or changed the battery while your truck was turned completely off, chances are that your computer lost its memory due to no power. Learned this the hard way (my truck lost its ability to open windows, and door locks didn't work remotely) Had to take it to the dealer for an expensive re programming of the computer.
