When Does The 1st Rinse Cycle Start?

The soap dispenser is not stuck but it won't open during wash. Until I get my dad to come look at it, how long should I wait to manually drop in a soap packet to get the dishes clean? I read that I can drop in the soap packet after the first rinse. After I start the machine, how much time do I need to wait until the 1st rinse cycle is done so I can add the Cascade packet? I just bought this Frigidaire dishwasher FPHD2491KFO in October 2012 from Lowe's so the manufacturers warranty is expired. Considering that I bought a brand new product from a reputable place I never, in a million years thought that something would go wrong with it right before the 2yr mark! It's absolutely ridiculous!

Hello urbaszewski, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that you are seeking a time frame to when you can insert your Cascade packet into your dishwasher. The issue is that it depends on your cycle and I was unable to locate such information for your dishwasher. I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose your dishwasher to pinpoint the reason for your soap dispenser not opening. -OOS
