My New Freezer Makes A Whistiling Sound After I Close The Door, Is This A Proble

In older refrigerators and/or freezers, there's a fan that moves cool air from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator compartment. Or just a fan that circulates the cool air in the freezer unit itself.

A whistling sound might indicate that the fan is making noise. Or it could be that there's ice in the airway and it's interacting with the moving air somewhat the same way a harmonica reed would. You could also have debris or dust in the unit and may require general maintenance.

Or it could be something more serious like something in the compressor system. You would only find out by a diagnosis via a local repairman.
