Hello Hubop2 – Sounds like the unit either have a poor sealed door gasket or something inside is possibly blocking it, like a hinge. Try checking and see if the door seal is bad; place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and the door. Now close the door.  The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing. If any of these suggestions proves to be ineffective, connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.
