Replaced Icemaker Board. Still No Ice. Repairman Says Freon Valve Bad. True?

Great question! Typically when you have issues with the ice maker you would first want to check the freezer component. Is your freezer at the correct temperature and cold enough to keep your items frozen? If the freezer, or surrounding refrigerator parts are not cool enough the ice maker will not produce ice. If your appliance is cooling properly, you would not have a freon issue. Freon is your coolant so if you are not having problems with the temperature I would safely count this out. I would recommend double-checking your control board's installation and connections. Otherwise, you may want to gain the assistance of a professional technician to continue with repairs.
