Wine Fridge Not Working

I purchased a brand new 38 bottle wine cooler that is not working. (Bought second hand from person who just got it and didn't use it because it didn't work). The temp setting reads the current setting and the light works (no cooling and no alarm). What should I check on the unit to get it running?

Check the temperature control settings. Make sure you have set the thermostat to the desired temperature. Keep in mind that most of our single-zone thermoelectric wine coolers only cool down to 54°F. Dual zone coolers will chill down to 44°F.
