How To Adjust Setting For Only Cold Air At 62 Degree?

This is my 1st day of this unit and after setting at 62 degree with high speed fan on for 8-9 hours already and temperture still only read at 74 degree instead?

What happens if you set your AC too low? Air conditioners are not designed to operate in or produce temperatures below 60 degrees. ... If you attempt to run the unit when temperatures are already at 60 degrees or below, you'll risk damaging the compressor.
