Freezer Temperature Control

A few days ago, my brother left the freezer door open for a few hours and when I discovered it, the content inside was just melting off. After that incident, it seemed like the freezer has not been able to restore its optimal temperature. The ice cubes still look "glossy" as opposed to completely frozen and my frozen berries look the same way! I can't seem to find any temperature control besides the one in the fridge. Help?

Yes there is a relationship between the freezer being left opened and the sudden seemingly consequent loss of cooling power and the fix to this is normally a hair dryer. Read more on this here.
