Heating Element Melted Or Should Say Burnt Hole Inside Dishwasher

My Landlord bought this Frigidaire #fdb520rhs2 dishwasher just about a year ago. i went to do a load of dishes on 07/09/11. Went outside to feed dog, came back in and found water coming from underneath machine. We just found out that the heating element has melted the floor of machine. I just found a consumer complaint site where this brand has been doing the same thing. I am waiting for the landlord to come back home to see it. Yet in the mean time I was to research as to what and why this happen.Has this machine on recall list?

I do not see this specific model on any government recall list for this manufacturer. I would suggest having the landlord or yourself contact the manufacturer to see if this unit is covered under any warranty. Be prepared for the manufacturer to need a serivce diagnostic completed on the unit by one of their repairment to document the exact cause.
