Dishwasher Not Working. We Turn It On And The Lights Just Blink.

The dishwasher washer was running and was opened to add another dish.  It will not work now.  I have drained out the water.  When we start the dishwasher, the lights either blink or stay on for a minute adn then go off.  Nothing will start up.

Hello dkowalewski91 – I understand the unit is inoperable. First, try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Second, wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. Then confirmed that the door is properly latched and select a cycle. If it proves to be ineffective, then the unit may possibly have more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty door latch assembly or control board. At this point, I personally recommend reaching out to a service provider to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.
