Passenger Airbag Off Light
I just had an after market remote start installed in my 2012 Focus and the PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF light is not llluminated whether or not there is a passenger in the front seat. I know the light works since with starting the car it does come on for a couple of seconds then it goes out, again whether the front seat is or isn't occupied. From what I remember the light stayed on when there wasn't a passenger in the front seat. I looked in my Owners Guide and on page 200 it seems to contradict itself as in one paragraph it states it should be illuminated and stay lit to remind you that the front airbag is disabled yet further down it states when the front passenger seat not occupied (empty seat) or in the event that the front passenger airbag is enabled the indicator lamp will be unlit. My question is should the light be on or off when there is no one in the front seat?
