Def For Diesel

the system shows below half a tank buy the fluid runs out when you try to add it. I even inserted a tube into the tank thru thr filler to insure it was not clogged. still shows 1/2 tank????

The DEF (deisel exhaust fluid) tank doesnt use a float gauge like the fuel tank. If it gets run below half a tank, it will read half a tank until the internal sensor says its been filled completely up. If its full and the sensor doesnt reset the display then its a problem with the sensor and should be taken in for diagnostics and repair.
